About Troi

Modern Folk | Vanlifer | Wild-Hearted Storyteller

With a voice that feels both ethereal yet grounding, and lyrics steeped in nature, freedom, and emotional depth, Troi Parker-Roth is fast becoming a bold voice in modern folk. Living a nomadic, vanlife existence with her two cats, Troi channels the rawness of the road and the stillness of the wild into music that resonates deeply with free spirits, truth-seekers, and lovers of poetic songwriting.

A seasoned performer with a magnetic stage presence, Troi has captivated audiences at some of the UK’s most beloved independent festivals, including Buddhafield, Sidmouth Fringe, How The Light Gets In, Unearthed and many more. Her music—rich with layered guitar work, intimate vocals, and stories that speak to something timeless—has been regularly featured on BBC Introducing and recently reached wider audiences through a 39,000-view collaborative performance with Liveration.

Her 2025 album, ‘Let The Wild Things Grow’, is a declaration of transformative and personal liberation. Inspired by the landscapes she roams and the internal terrain she navigates, the album is filled with free-spirited, soul-soaked tracks that explore healing, grief, courage, and connection to the Earth. Inspired by icons like John Martyn, Ben Howard, Laura Marling, and Xavier Rudd and having grown up attending folk festivals, Troi’s uses songwriting as a sacred act of self-expression that is more than just a performance - it’s an offering and an invitation to come home to yourself.

As her following grows and her van wheels keep turning, one thing is clear: Troi Parker-Roth is not just passing through—she’s carving a new path with modern folk, one honest song at a time.
